Products from our nurseries<\/h3>\n

We are able to export our cactus pads\/cladodes, for fruit and\/or biomass production, to the main international destinations and ports, in containers with certain parameters of temperature, humidity, ventilation\/air renewal previously defined and controlled, in order to guarantee that they arrive in good condition at their destination, even if they spend several weeks or months in transit.<\/p>\n

Our cactus pads\/cladodes for new plantations are 100% selected, and are accompanied by an international phytosanitary certificate, which is issued by the Portuguese Authorities, after a prior inspection of the cargo just before shipment, in order to guarantee that it meets all the import requirements of each country, particularly with regard to any diseases or pests.<\/p>\n

    • All the processes are developed and carried out with extremely care in order to ensure that the natural and bioactive properties of the Opuntia Ficus-\u00cdndica products and sub-products are not affected;<\/li>\n
    • 0% waste! Yes, there is no waste in our production processes. For example, from the fruit (Cactus Pear\/Prickly Pear), we separate the peel, pulp\/puree and seeds. The peel is used for a powder, the pulp\/puree will be frozen or pasteurized to be later used for juices, ice cream, jams, sweets etc. From the seed we extract the oil and even the seeds, after the oil extraction, are used for the production of another powder. From the cactus paddles (cladodes) we use the same zero waste approach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      In addition, determining factors are also the use of the best and healthiest agricultural practices, namely in organic production; adequate fertilization, sustained in regular analyzes of the soil and cactus; the irrigation systems optimized in all opuntia ficus-\u00edndica orchards and nurceries using humidity probes; our climate plus the most favorable soils for the development of this plant; the fact that there are several insects in our region, including our own bees, which are decisive for pollination and consequently for a high number of fertile seeds, thus contributing to a better quality of the fruits, seeds and naturally to the oil extracted from them.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
